Hot Pink Helps Older Paws

ToeSox releases new color for a cause
Carlsbad, CA. – July 14, 2010 – ToeSox announced July 9th, that one of their newest colors will have a charitable component. With the purchase of every Hot Pink Half-ToeSox, a portion of the sales will help animals in need. This philanthropic initiative is an active partnership with yoga instructor/writer and ToeSox model, Kathryn Budig, who is co-founder of Poses for Paws with Jesse Schein. Poses for Paws raises funds for non-profit animal shelters and welfare organizations through donation-based yoga classes and events.
Poses for Paws supports various organizations every year. The first organization to benefit from the ToeSox/Poses for Paws donation is APe Action’s Sammy’s Place (a 501c3). Sammy’s Place is a sanctuary where hard to place dogs can come and stay and senior dogs can live out their last days. ToeSox will keep their fans abreast of the proceeds total and what current organization Poses for Paws is supporting, through the ToeSox website, Facebook and Twitter.

“We’ve been thinking of ways we can give back with every purchase,” said Joe Patterson, ToeSox president, “and this is a great opportunity to support Kathryn and her cause.”

Budig began working with ToeSox two years ago when she was asked to be the model in the artful and eye-catching ToeSox ad campaign that appears monthly in Yoga Journal. Jasper Johal, the photographer behind the campaign, also shot the Kathryn Budig Hot Pink Half-ToeSox campaign. This photo shoot was a little different from the others as the photos are in color, Budig is wearing more than just ToeSox, and she shares the camera with her dog, Ashi.

The Hot Pink Half-ToeSox feature the five-toe design, exposed toes, and ToeSox’s patented Non-Slip Grip sole that make the toe socks perfect for yoga, Pilates, dance, martial arts, and all barefoot activities.

Pencil Pick Up

" Place a pencil on the floor in front of you at the same angle as the toes on your right foot, with the point on the pinky-toe side. Stand or sit on the edge of a chair with good posture and put your weight into your heel. Fan the toes out and wrap them around the pencil. If you can pick up the pencil, try to write your name with it on a piece of paper."
